Our Programs
Community Garden
The Community Garden provides Black trans tenants with access to fresh, healthy food while fostering self-sufficiency and environmental sustainability. This space serves as both a food source and a gathering place, where members can learn about urban farming, herbal medicine, and land stewardship while reclaiming food sovereignty in historically marginalized communities.

The Community Clean-Up initiative fosters pride and ownership in Black trans communities by organizing regular neighborhood beautification efforts. Volunteers work together to remove litter, maintain public spaces, and create safer, more welcoming environments. These clean-ups also serve as opportunities for tenant organizing, strengthening community bonds and collective action.
Community Clean Up

Tenant Union
The T-Union is a community led collective of Black transgender individuals who have firsthand experience with housing insecurity, eviction, and systemic barriers to stable housing. Rooted in a commitment to renters' rights, economic justice, climate justice and mutual aid, the T-Union mobilizes to challenge housing discrimination, advocate for policy changes, community clean ups and build tenant power within Black trans communities
Community Engagement & Advocacy
We collaborate with local residents, organizations, and authorities to empower communities to take an active role in their own journey. Amplify the voices of Black trans tenants in the fight for housing justice. By organizing direct actions, tenant rights workshops, and policy campaigns, the T-Union challenges discriminatory housing practices, pushes for legislative change, and holds landlords and policymakers accountable to the needs of Black transgender renters.

Volunteer Opportunities

Mutual Aid
Rooted in solidarity and collective care, the Mutual Aid program ensures Black and Brown Trans tenants have access to essential resources, such as emergency housing funds, groceries, transportation assistance, and legal aid. Through a community-driven support network, members can rely on each other in times of crisis and build resilience against systemic neglect and housing precarity.
